Mom is feeling a little better today. We seem to have the nausea under control and the pain meds are staying down. She is still very weak and the amount of time she has visitors is limited to make sure she gets enough rest. A hospital bed was delivered today and we are hoping to be able to set it up in way that Mom can stay comfortable and we can continue to care for her.
Mary arrived in the early afternoon and is already cleaning and scrubbing. Keith is flying in tomorrow and Deb is coming up from St. Louis for a few days. I am heading back to Boise. It will be difficult to leave tomorrow.
I think Amy missed her calling in life. She should have gone into health care. Amy's done a phenomenal job taking care of mom. I'm heading up for a few days to pick up where she left off. I was back in St. Louis long enough to get a few things done at work, a few things done at home, and catch up on sleep. Fortunately, Aunt Mary will have the cleaning done by the time I get there as I am like Amy when it comes to cleaning. When we were kids, mom made us clean the house twice a week - on Mondays and Thursdays. I remember doing a lot of vacuuming!
ReplyDeleteThis photo would explain the reason I hate having my picture taken!!
ReplyDeleteWhat do you mean Shari, It looks like you like having your photo taken. That picture of Aunt Jeanette, I can see myself in her. That must mean I take after both my aunts. Everyone always thought that Mary and I look a like know it's both Mary and Jeannette.
ReplyDeleteI am sorry I do not remember you too much because I saw I was very small but the pictures you sent me in all those cards helped me remember you more. I hpe you are not in too much pain right now. My mom is showing me how to post this comment which is pretty impresive because usualy I am showing her how to do stuff on the computer or other electronic things. I pray you get better and I give you a big hug from the whole familie.

ps Your pictures bring back many memories!
This is serious time, but the pictures from Memphis days are fun and bring back many memories. Thanks, Amy! Everybody keep up the good work; it makes us feel better at a distance. The Lord is in control - through you... Gordon and Evelyn Gross
